2.1 Teaching Methods

Teaching methods that used in Integrated Schools are discussion, presentation, asking and answer; interactive lecturing, and guided inquiry. The teacher could choose what method she/he wants to applies in the class during the lesson. All of those methods are used to increase students’ activeness, so the class won’t be passive. Also, with all of those methods, student can encourage them self to explore more about the material or the topic, and it won’t be one way communication from the teacher. The teacher isn’t the centre of the class, but the students are.

2.2 Learning Materials and Innovation

The materials of teaching are based on K-12 Curriculum book. The teacher can add any additional knowledge for the students from internet and other resources. The teachers usually using learning media, such as pictures, videos, story telling, chart, or even bring a real life example, e.g : corn, plant, cat, etc. The innovation from teacher can be a varieties of  learning media, learning methods, even game for the ice breaking.

2.3 Sources Of Learning and Technology

The source of learning that used by the teacher in PSU Integrated Schools - High School are from K-12 Curriculum, and any other sources from books, journals, articles, and internet. The technology is used to complete the teaching process and being an additional media, such as TV, projector, and laptop.

2.4 Authentic Assessment

                 The assessment is used to evaluating the students’ understanding about the material, their                                ability to apply what’s already told in the class, and also being an evaluation for the teacher, so that                         the teacher is going to know whether the material is delivered fully or not. PSU Integrated Schools -                       High School is using variation of authentic assessment, such as quiz, question-answer, chapter                                  examination, self assessment, peer assessment, worksheet, etc.
